“Il Sole ad Est” is a charming rental villa on Lake Garda, located in Ponti sul Mincio (province of Mantova), just a few minutes from the picturesque locality of Borghetto and only a few kilometers from the world-famous Gardaland Park. The town is surrounded by vast countryside and the morainic hills of Lake Garda, dotted with cycle paths along the Mincio River.

Nature lovers can enjoy the 46 km cycle path connecting Peschiera del Garda to Mantova. At the same time, families and groups can easily reach six nearby amusement parks, with Gardaland being the most renowned.

The farmhouse, originally built in the 1400s, has been fully renovated. Outdoors you’ll find a private swimming pool with solarium area equipped with loungers, umbrellas, and shower, plus a covered patio ideal for breakfasts, lunches, and dinners during summer. Two barbecues make it perfect for grilling with friends. On request and for a fee, breakfasts, lunches, and dinners can also be served indoors or outdoors. The property includes a 3,000 m² park, making it suitable for events, weddings, and meetings.

Inside, the villa retains its rustic charm with exposed beams, fireplace, and classic country-style furnishings, combined with modern comforts: air conditioning, heating, hairdryer, baby cot, high chair, digital TV, Sky system, washing machine, dryer, DVD player, emergency lights, fax, computer, wi-fi, iPod connection, and mosquito nets. Guests also enjoy a professional pool table, private swimming pool, private parking, and a welcome grocery basket. The villa is pet-friendly.

Ground floor:
At the entrance, an atrium leads to a spacious dining room and a large living area with fireplace, armchairs, sofa, and a professional pool table. On the same level, a large kitchen features a fireplace, two refrigerators, two ovens, microwave, slicer, dishwasher, ice maker, toaster, and electric kettle, plus a large marble table and sink. Also on this floor is the Orchidea room with a queen bed and two single beds (in separate spaces).

Mimosa (king): suite with terrace, deco-style upholstery integrated into wardrobes and walls; en-suite bathroom with whirlpool tub, large shower, and double sink, plus a relaxation corner with armchairs and table.

Second floor:

Camelia (king deluxe): suite with double bed; the main wall hides the private bathroom with shower and double sink, plus retractable TV, air conditioning, and underfloor heating.

We were a group of 21 family members of all ages and had all 9 bedrooms in the villa. The location is great (if you want to be at the south of Lake Garda), the villa is beautiful. The host, Michele, and his wife are very friendly and they will provide a delicious breakfast and dinner upon request. Kitchen is beautiful and functional. One of the bedrooms did not have working air-conditioning, and hot water was limited at times. All rooms are not the same, as expected for a large house. If you want total privacy, know that the host and his family are on the property (we did not mind), and it was a bit confusing initially about what was their groceries/water/etc. But, overall, hosts were very responsive and helpful! Highly recommend.
